OptiX OSN500 supports MPLS (MultiProtocol Label Switching) / MPLS-TP (MPLS-Transport Profile) / PWE3 / Ethernet / ATM technology, which can realize pure packet mode networking. Huawei OSN500 equipment supports chain, ring, ring tangent, ring chain, and other networking forms.
Huawei OSN500 devices support configurations of TM (Terminal Multiplexer), ADM (Add/Drop Multiplexer), MADM (Multiple Add-Drop Multiplexer) network element types, and their hybrid configurations.
Huawei OSN500 devices support a variety of topology networking methods and can be docked with other Huawei OSN series devices, DWDM series devices, and Metro series devices to build a complete transmission network solution.
3G IP base stations are uplink to OSN500 devices in FE mode, then encapsulated into PWE3, and converged to OptiX OSN3500/ using end-to-end PWE3.
The LTE base station is connected to the OSN500 device by GE, then encapsulated into the PWE3, and converged to the OptiX OSN3500/OSN7500 using the end-to-end PWE3.
2G base stations are connected to OSN500 devices in TDM E1/T1 mode, 3G ATM base stations are connected to OSN500 devices in ATM/IMA E1 mode, and then encapsulated into PWE3, and end-to-end PWE3 is used to converge to OptiX OSN3500/OSN7500.
OSN500 devices support rich hierarchical OAM functions, have operation and maintenance capabilities similar to SDH, and can achieve rapid fault detection and location at all levels.
OSN500 equipment supports ETH OAM, MPLS Tunnel/PW OAM, and MPLS-TP Tunnel/PW OAM, to form hierarchical OAM functions, which improves the maintenance means of a packet network and improves the efficiency of operation and maintenance. The specific application of each level of OAM.
